Fun fact: The first award Tanya ever received for her writing was a National Scholastic Award for writing a one-act play at the age of 11 years old. Through a 3-year period in her pre-teens, she received a total of two national scholastic gold awards and three state scholastic gold awards for three dramatic scripts.
